Pinspired

Here it is! These pictures are literally up to the minute (couldn't get on the site today - they worked until sun down but my drive by didn't reveal anything obviously new)

Our main floor looks like this right now...
From our front window - parlour space
Same room - we'll make this an office
Powder room on main floor
I thought I had a pic of the living room...
I didn't.
This is me STANDING in the living room
looking at the kitchen
Standing in the back door looking at the
kitchen area
Justin looking all seductive..
Standing in the front door with office on the
left - you can see through to the back
We're pretty much agreed on a grey colour scheme throughout the bulk of the house. Becuase our main floor is really open concept we'll need to keep a pretty neutral colour scheme throughout for continuity sake (my latest obsession is room to room flow and making sure they all connect). We would like to put dark hardwood down eventually and the kitchen table we just bought is a dark wood.

Here are some ideas I've pulled from Pintrest (all sources for the pictures below can be found on my "Dream Home" board)

Office space
We LOVE the ladder in the bathroom
Justin found one that will work nicely
Love the neutral colours - we'll
likely do something a little darker
LOVE this chair
Love the modern elegant look
We'll see if it looks this nice in the end haha
We don't have much of a second floor right now (they've laid the subfloor but there are no walls as of yet). Here are some ideas I have for our second floor...

This will have to be in a spare room
Justin would never stand for a master
this feminine
Love the greys
Our laundry room is super narrow
so a wall unit like this uses the space
well
Master idea
Love this for the main bathroom
upstairs with nautical accents
Definitely want an upholstered headboard
Overall, the house is coming along really well and I do think we will be in by July for sure, if not earlier! As of right now we have some random furniture but surprisingly, I'm OK with it; this will give us time to save money and really get a feel for the space. Additionally, because it is a brand new build we can't paint for a year. This is also a plus because it will give us time to really get the colour we want.

Stay tuned - the weather is getting nicer and I know the house will be ready before we know it!

Until next time...
